Will myopia continue to increase after I wear glasses?

When a person becomes nearsighted, it is essential to get glasses in a timely manner. This is because when you get the right pair of glasses, not only will your myopia be corrected, but also your visual fatigue will be eliminated, thus slowing down and controlling the development of myopia. However, there are two major causes of myopia: first, genetic factors (some of which are pathological in nature); and second, environmental factors. For pathological patients, even if you have a pair of glasses that fit perfectly, some people continue to have changes in their eyes due to pathology, and some people continue to grow in the direction of the anterior-posterior axis. For patients with myopia caused by environmental factors, although unlike pathological patients, some will continue to develop myopia naturally, but when they are engaged in busy text work, or long hours of computer operation, or do not pay attention to eye hygiene (refers to reading bad habits, etc.), or do not insist on wearing glasses after prescription, may continue to cause the development of myopia. When we know the cause of myopia and the problem of eye hygiene, we will know why myopia will continue to grow after someone wears glasses.
