Ringworm is a collective term for symptoms associated with fungal infections of the skin or skin appendages, such as hair and nails, which are essentially fungal infections that are directly caused by infection with fungal hyphae or spores. Indirect causes include: 1. decreased resistance; 2. long-term exposure to fungi; 3. stuffy and humid surroundings; 4. skin breakouts, etc. There are also some such as tinea cruris, peach fungus, and psoriasis that are not fungal infections but are simply misunderstandings due to habitual name calling. Among them, tinea facie is an eczema-like disease caused by excessive cleaning, improper moisturizing, and weak skin resistance of the skin itself. Peach fungus has an unknown cause and may be a superficial inflammatory reaction of the face related to sun exposure. Psoriasis is related to immune mechanisms and is caused by genetic, environmental, and immune correlation.
