Symptoms of Syndrome X

Syndrome X is most often seen in women, and the onset of the disease is associated with angina-like symptoms and ischemic changes on electrocardiography, but no significant coronary stenosis is found on coronary angiography. The mechanism of this disease is still unclear, but it may be due to microvascular lesions or endothelial causes, resulting in insufficient microvascular perfusion and relative myocardial ischemia. There is no specific treatment for patients with this disease. Oral beta-blockers or calcium channel blockers can be taken to reduce the onset of chest pain symptoms.
