What’s wrong with small blisters at the base of the tongue?

Small blisters at the root of the tongue may be related to lymphoid follicular hyperplasia, inflammation of the papillae and viral infections.
1. Lymphoid follicular hyperplasia: it is an important part of the pharyngeal lymphatic ring. Chronic inflammation and infection, or smoking, drinking, eating spicy and stimulating food for a long time, as well as gastrointestinal dysfunction, acidic water and acid gas stimulation will lead to edema and congestion of the root of the tongue, causing hyperplasia. There are symptoms of dry throat, sore throat, itchy throat and foreign body sensation in the throat.
2. Inflammation of taste papillae at the root of tongue: the root of tongue mainly distributes contour papillae, and the inflammation of tongue papillae will cause redness and swelling on both sides of the tongue root and hardness, and serious inflammation will also lead to swelling of lymph nodes in the neck.
3. Viral infections: Herpes viruses, such as herpes viruses, cause significant proliferation of lymphoid follicles in the throat, including the root of the tongue, and even produce viral herpes-like structures.
Small blisters at the root of the tongue are considered to be related to other causes, and it is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
