Do you have to operate on a benign thyroid nodule puncture?

Patients with thyroid nodules that are benign and asymptomatic after a puncture biopsy can usually be treated without surgery on medical advice. Patients with thyroid nodules who have undergone puncture biopsy of the nodules and whose pathologic findings show benign thyroid nodules and who do not have obvious clinical manifestations can be exempted from surgical treatment, and can be examined regularly. However, if the size of the thyroid nodule is large enough to compress the esophagus, trachea and other tissues, surgery should be considered even for benign thyroid nodules. If you are diagnosed with a thyroid nodule and the biopsy shows that it is benign, you can go to the hospital and consult a specialist if you are not sure if you need surgery.
