Alcohol is not recommended when taking Irbesartan. Irbesartan is a commonly used antihypertensive drug in clinical practice nowadays, which can be used for the treatment of essential hypertension, hypertension combined with type 2 diabetic nephropathy, and it is usually recommended to be taken once a day, and diet has no effect on the taking of the drug. Drinking alcohol while taking Irbesartan will not only affect the efficacy of the drug, but may also lead to the instability of blood pressure. Therefore, drinking alcohol is not recommended when taking Irbesartan. Adverse effects of the drug include dizziness, tachycardia, nausea and vomiting, fatigue and other adverse effects. Precautions: while taking Irbesartan, it should be noted that patients with diabetes or moderately severe renal impairment should not use this product in combination with Aliskiren. Patients with diabetic nephropathy should not combine this product with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs).
