The statement “the best formula for maitake” is not correct. The combination of Chinese medicines needs to be based on the individual’s constitution and condition. For example, Maimendong is often used with Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata and Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng for the treatment of constipation due to lack of fluid and dryness of the intestines.
Mai Men Dong has the effect of nourishing yin and generating fluids, moisturizing the lungs and clearing the heart. If it is used to treat yin deficiency and lung dryness (deficiency of yin in the body, resulting in lung dryness without nourishment), dry and sore throat, dry cough with little phlegm, it is often used together with Dihuang, Chuanbeimu, and Xuanshen to treat yin deficiency and lung dryness, such as Nourishing Yin and Clearing Lung Ointment.
It should be noted that it is forbidden to take it for people with deficiency cold diarrhea, dampness in yin, wind-cold or cold phlegm cough.
The adverse effects of Maimendong are not known. If you need to use Maimendong to treat your illness, it is recommended to use it under the guidance of a doctor.
