Is hemorrhoid surgery fast?

Hemorrhoids are divided into internal and external hemorrhoids by the dentate line, while usually both are present in combination, or mixed hemorrhoids, and the main treatment option for hemorrhoids is to opt for surgery. For simple connective tissue external hemorrhoids, the surgery is short and can be over in about 10 minutes, and the lesion can be removed under local anesthesia and can be sutured. For thrombosed external hemorrhoids, the time is between 20-30 minutes, the lesion needs to be incised and the nucleus peeled off, the feeding vessels need to be ligated, the embolus needs to be peeled off to avoid residuals, and the wound needs to be dressed with local pressure after surgery. For cricoid internal hemorrhoids or embedded hemorrhoids, the procedure takes relatively long, but can be concluded within an hour, either by applying an anastomosis for circumcision or local excision of the hemorrhoidal mucosa, or by simple ligation. Alternatively, sclerotherapy by injection into the hemorrhoid nucleus is a relatively short procedure and is suitable for stage I and II internal hemorrhoids.
