What’s wrong with blurred vision and dizziness?

Dizziness and blurred vision may be caused by elevated blood pressure. When a patient’s blood pressure is elevated, blood vessels dilate, which may lead to dizziness and blurred vision with nausea and vomiting. In severe attacks of migrainous vertigo, patients may also present with blurred vision, dizziness, or even bending of light and luminous spots when looking at things, which are typical of migraine attacks, and propranolol may be given symptomatically to alleviate the patient’s symptoms. If dizziness and blurred vision occur, it may be caused by acute cerebrovascular disease, such as cerebral infarction or transient ischemic attack, usually in the midbrain or occipital lobe, causing the patient to experience dizziness and blurred vision.
