What to do about hydronephrosis with severe back pain

Hydrocele with severe back pain can be treated by medication or surgery etc.
Hydronephrosis is a condition in which urine drainage from the renal pelvis is blocked, and the accumulation increases the pressure in the kidney, dilates the renal pelvis and calyces, and atrophies the renal parenchyma, which can lead to renal hypoplasia and so on. Patients with severe low back pain may consider treatment by drugs or surgery.
1. Drug treatment:
(1) Analgesics: for patients with hydronephrosis accompanied by severe pain, analgesic drugs, such as diclofenac sodium, pethidine and so on, can be used as prescribed by doctors.
(2) Antibiotics: for patients with concurrent infections, antibiotic treatment is needed, such as ofloxacin, amoxicillin and so on.
(3) Litholytic drugs: some patients with hydronephrosis is caused by stones, for different components of the stones can be used for different therapeutic drugs, such as uric acid stones can be used potassium sodium citrate, and so on.
2. Surgery: For patients with hydronephrosis caused by stones in the urinary tract, appropriate methods can be chosen to remove the stones and restore the smoothness of the urinary tract. Commonly used methods include extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, percutaneous nephrolithotripsy, ureteroscopy lithotripsy to remove stones and so on.
