The causes of dizziness, spinning, nausea and vomiting are complex and involve a variety of diseases of the ear or brain. The balance of human is maintained by the coordination of three systems: vestibular system, proprioceptive system and visual system. The causes of sudden dizziness, spinning, nausea and vomiting can be considered as follows: 1. Peripheral vertigo diseases, such as Meniere’s disease, vestibular neuronitis, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, and vaginitis; 3. To consider diseases of the central nervous system, such as auditory neuroma, multiple sclerosis, cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, transient ischemic attack, or cerebral vascular spasm, tumor and occupancy of the brain, all of which may cause patients to have the above symptoms.
