How long does it take to recover from a 200cc blood donation

Normally, about 2 weeks after donating 200cc of blood can be basically normal, but in fact there are some differences in the recovery time of different components of blood. The main component of blood is water, which contains mainly red blood cells, hemoglobin, plasma proteins, platelets, white blood cells, electrolytes and so on. The first recovery of water and sodium salts after donating 200cc of blood, that is, the recovery of blood volume, takes only about 1-2 hours. Recovery of plasma protein takes about 1-2 days, and platelets take about 2-3 days. The slowest recovery is for red blood cells and hemoglobin, which takes about 2 weeks. In addition, it may take about 2-3 days to recover from the discomfort caused by chills and palpitations after donating 200cc of blood. After blood donation, it is recommended to eat more protein-rich foods, such as eggs, milk and meat, and to protect the puncture site from water to avoid infection.
