Early symptoms of brain tumor in children can include the following aspects: First, the most common one is headache, which can be manifested as paroxysmal headache, and with the change of position, the nature of headache can also change to different degrees, and the pain can last longer and can be gradually aggravated. Secondly, jet vomiting, which is generally caused by the occupying effect of brain tumor in the skull, resulting in the increase of intracranial pressure, thus leading to jet vomiting. Third, gradual increase of head circumference is due to the tumor in the brain compressing the effusion pathway, thus causing the symptoms of hydrocephalus. Fourthly, some children may show blurred vision, or one of the two eyes may be impaired in the process of movement, for example, both eyes cannot be squinted or abducted, and some children may have diplopia, which is usually called double vision. Some children may also have optic papillary edema, suggesting intracranial problems, which may require a CT or MRI examination of the child’s head for a clear diagnosis and targeted treatment.
