Symptoms and Treatment of Viral Rash

Viral rashes can be categorized into herpes type, erythematous eruption type, and neoplastic type according to their appearance. Common symptoms include fever, blisters, and pimples, etc. General measures, medication, and other treatments are often taken.
1. Symptoms
(1) Herpes type: Patients will have mild fever, loss of appetite and other symptoms, itching, burning and tingling of the skin, as well as round or oval blisters. It is commonly seen in herpes simplex and herpes zoster.
(2) Erythematous rash type: the skin lesions are mainly manifested as red papules, blotches, macules with clear boundaries and non-dandruff surface, which may be accompanied by edema. Commonly found in young children’s emergency rashes.
(3) New organisms: the skin will appear polygonal, hard wart-like cumbersome organisms, the color is pearl or gray, the number varies. Commonly found in common warts.
2. Treatment
(1) general measures: viral rashes need to avoid scratching the lesions, keep the skin dry and clean, pay attention to balanced nutrition, pay attention to rest, exercise, strengthen the body to improve immunity, help the recovery of the disease.
(2) Drug therapy: most patients need to use antiviral drugs such as acyclovir, and glucocorticoids such as prednisone and hydrocortisone. Antibiotic drugs such as fusidic acid and mupirocin may be used if there is a secondary infection. Neoplastic rashes may also require drugs such as imiquimod 5%, fluorouracil, and retinoic acid.
(3) Other treatments: Patients with neoplastic rashes may also be treated with cryotherapy, laser therapy, etc. to promote scabbing of the lesions.
