Fetal brain cysts at 36 weeks are not a necessity for induction of labor and should be decided on the basis of the actual condition of the fetus.
Fetal brain cysts are commonly found in the brain choroid plexus cysts, choroid plexus from the cysts refers to pregnancy zero in 14 ~ 24 weeks fetal development ultrasound found in the lateral ventricle choroid plexus scattered, diameter >3 mm small cysts. 90% of fetal choroid plexus cysts in the gestation of 26 weeks after the disappearance of the only a small number of progressive enlargement.
If a choroid plexus cyst persists after 26 weeks, it should be examined for chromosomal problems, including amniocentesis, and ultrasonography for structural abnormalities other than the choroid plexus cyst.
If the chromosomal examination and ultrasound examination do not reveal any problem, observation is sufficient and no special treatment is needed. If there are chromosomal problems, the fetus may be accompanied by multiple birth defects, mental developmental disorders, etc., and it is generally recommended to induce labor or other ways to terminate the pregnancy.
