Lung alveoli are clinically generally known as pulmonary blisters, and the best way for them to disappear is surgical treatment. Lung blisters are usually caused by patients suffering from emphysema, pneumonia and other underlying lung diseases, resulting in increased pressure within the alveoli, rupture of the alveolar walls, and fusion of the alveoli with each other to form air-containing sacs with a diameter of more than 1cm. Spontaneous pneumothorax and hemopneumothorax can be caused by rupture of pulmonary blisters. Pulmonary blisters are irreversible and cannot be restored to their normal form by medication or conservative treatment. Asymptomatic pulmonary blisters generally do not require treatment; for patients with pneumothorax, hemopneumothorax, or large and excessive pulmonary blisters affecting respiratory function, surgery should be performed, which is currently the only effective treatment for pulmonary blisters.
