Turmeric, Astragalus and Red Date

Turmeric has the effects of promoting blood circulation and circulation of Qi, and relieving menstruation and pain; Astragalus has the effects of tonifying Qi and elevating Yang, fixing the surface and stopping sweating (stopping sweating by consolidating the surface of the muscle); red dates have the effects of tonifying the middle and benefiting the Qi (treating deficiency of Qi by replenishing the spleen), nourishing the Blood and tranquilizing the mind.
Turmeric is pungent and bitter in flavor, warm in nature, and belongs to the liver and out-of-body meridians. It has the effects of promoting blood circulation and circulation of Qi, and relieving menstruation and pain. It is mainly used in treating pain in the chest and ribs caused by stagnation of Qi and blood stasis, menstrual and abdominal pain, and rheumatism and arm pain.
Astragalus is sweet in flavor, slightly warm in nature, and belongs to the spleen and lung meridians. It has the effect of tonifying qi and elevating yang, fixing the surface and stopping sweating, supporting the toxicity and muscle growth (discharging poisonous evils, promoting muscle growth and wound healing), and inducing diuresis to reduce edema. It is mainly used in spleen and lung qi deficiency, Wei qi deficiency resulting in surface deficiency and spontaneous sweating (due to the weakness of the muscle surface and frequent natural sweating), qi and blood deficiency caused by carbuncle and gangrene that does not ulcerate or ulcer for a long time without convergence and so on.
Red jujube, or jujube, is sweet in flavor and warm in nature, and belongs to the spleen, stomach meridian and heart. It has the efficacy of tonifying the center and benefiting the qi, nourishing the blood and tranquilizing the mind, and moderating the medicinal properties. It is mainly used for symptoms such as tiredness and fatigue caused by insufficiency of middle qi (weak spleen and stomach qi), loose food (scanty and unformed feces), deficiency of blood and yellowish color, women’s dirty and restlessness (disturbed and depressed, feeling sad and wanting to cry for no reason), and mental uneasiness.
