Is a rib cartilage fracture serious?

A rib cartilage fracture is not very serious, as opposed to a rib fracture, and can be treated as a soft tissue injury with a period of recuperation in bed. However, even if the fracture is not serious, it should not be taken lightly and should be adhered to according to the systematic treatment. Bed rest will take about three weeks to a month, or a month and a half or even two months for more fracture sites. The rib cage and the entire thoracic cavity will move as long as there is breathing movement, and the fractured rib cartilage will move with it. If you don’t try to get well at once, you will have soreness and pain if you have strenuous movements, if the chest cavity is active or if the area is exposed to wind and cold. And only simple treatment measures such as maintenance, or hot compresses can help to improve the symptoms, but not to remove the root of the symptoms.
