What causes migraines at the back of the head?

Most people have experienced headaches, some patients present with forehead pain, some with pain around the eyes, some with occipital pain, and some with pain in the back of the head? So what generally causes migraines in the back of the head? From the data of clinical research, migraine at the back of the head is generally caused by the following major reasons. 1.Long-term low-coverage work group Office workers who stare at the computer for a long time, teenagers who are addicted to games, or long-term low-coverage workers are prone to migraine at the back of the head, mainly because the cervical spine compresses the vertebral artery leading to headache due to insufficient blood supply to the brain, and also when people stay up late in the early hours of the next day, this pain can also occur. 2, cerebrovascular disease Some cerebrovascular diseases can also cause migraine in the back of the head, such as subarachnoid hemorrhage, tumors in the brain, rupture of blood vessels, etc. These cases often occur suddenly and violently, and sometimes the patient directly falls to the ground and falls into a coma, so it is recommended that the patient go to neurosurgery for brain CT or MRI in a timely manner. 3. Occipital neuralgia and neuropathic headache The pain at the back of the head caused by occipital neuralgia is mostly with obvious fluctuation, jumping one after another, and paroxysmal. The neuropathic headache is usually caused by excessive nervousness, prolonged late night and insufficient sleep. Therefore, patients should get enough sleep and have a good mood in general. When pain occurs in the back of the head and the patient takes medication, if the symptoms are not significantly relieved or recurrent, it is recommended to consider surgery. Microvascular decompression surgery realizes effective treatment for intractable migraine and is well received by patients.
