TCT is a test method to diagnose whether a woman is suffering from cervicitis or pre-cancerous lesions of the cervix, as well as cervical cancer by scraping the cervix to do cytological examination. If no epithelial cells are found in the examination result, it means that the cervix has no disease and is in a healthy state, which is the lightest kind of examination result, and the body is normal without any uncomfortable symptoms; if atypical squamous cells appear in the examination, it should belong to the lightest suspected epithelial lesion, which needs to be combined with the clinical symptoms and analyzed comprehensively to diagnose whether there is precancerous lesion, etc. For example, some women are suffering from cervical inflammation or precancer due to IUD or other reasons. For example, some women are susceptible to suspicious epithelial cell results on TCT due to IUD or chronic cervicitis. It is necessary to follow the doctor’s instruction and suggest to do TCT again in 3-6 months to confirm whether there is precancerous lesion or not, and then treat the symptoms in time after diagnosis.
