What are the side effects of enhanced MRI

Enhanced MRI is an examination method based on general MRI, which is achieved by injecting contrast agents into patients intravenously. The side effects mainly include two aspects, as follows: First, the side effects of contrast agents, such as a small number of patients are prone to allergic reactions, which commonly include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, accelerated breathing, redness of the skin and accelerated heart rate, etc. More severe patients may also experience tracheal edema, spasms and decreased blood pressure. More common is kidney damage, because most of the contrast agents are metabolized by the kidneys, some patients with underlying diabetes, kidney disease and hypertension are more likely to have kidney damage than ordinary people. Second, the side effects of the machine itself, such as its own noise is relatively large, will cause some discomfort to patients. The examination time is long and the space is relatively confined, which can easily make patients fearful.
