The Chinese medicine Feilian is used as a decoction in water or in bulk, and can also be used externally. The effects of Feilian are dispelling wind and clearing heat, inducing diuresis, cooling the blood and stopping bleeding (cooling the blood and preventing bleeding), and promoting blood circulation to reduce swelling. Feilian is a kind of Chinese medicine with a slightly bitter taste and cool nature. It can treat colds and coughs, headaches and dizziness, urinary tract infections, celiac disease, leucorrhea, jaundice, rheumatism and paralysis, vomiting of blood, epistaxis, urination of blood, excessive menstruation, functional uterine bleeding, bruises, furuncles (boils) (sores mostly occurring on the limbs or face, with a small shape and deep roots, as hard as nails), boils, and so on. It should be noted that it should be taken with caution for people with blood deficiency and weak spleen and stomach functions. If medication is needed, it should be used under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, and should not be used on its own to avoid adverse effects on the body.
