What’s wrong with dizziness and numbness?

Dizziness and numbness in the mouth are mainly due to the following reasons: First, if the patient has an acute onset of dizziness, unstable walking, and numbness in the mouth with slurred speech, consider that the patient may have acute cerebrovascular disease and needs to have a cranial MRI to determine whether there is brainstem infarction or hemorrhage. If chronic dizziness is accompanied by numbness of the mouth or ataxia, consider that the patient may have intracranial occupying lesions or metastatic intracranial occupying lesions, and also go for cranial MRI to clarify whether there is a tumor. Some patients with somatization disorders show dizziness and numbness of the mouth, which can be assessed by anxiety and depression scales.
