What does an MRI of a sacral cyst look like?

Sacral cyst MRI mainly looks at the shape of the cyst, signal height, etc. MRI is the most reliable and accurate test to diagnose intraspinal spinal cysts, and the diagnosis of the disease can basically be confirmed by MRI. Sacral cysts are usually in the form of elongated cystic pockets, ovoid and irregular shapes. The signal of cystic fluid in sacral cysts is low signal in T1WI and high signal in T2WI. Type IB sacral cysts are located in the sacral canal, separated from the dura mater by fat. Type II sacral cysts are located in the lateral aspect of the dura mater with nerve roots inside the cyst. The magnetic resonance examination results of sacral cysts should be analyzed comprehensively under the guidance of a doctor in order to take regular treatment measures at an early stage so as not to miss the time of treatment.
