Babies generally in 3-4 months or so will have the action of rolling over, the specific time is related to their own growth and development, there are individual differences. The growth and development of full-term babies has a certain pattern, that is, “two lifting, four rolling, six can sit, seven rolling, eight crawling, week can walk”, so in general, 4 months of age can begin to roll over. However, due to different personal circumstances, some of them gradually start to roll over around 3 months of age, and a few of them can be delayed to 4-6 months, if there is no abnormality or discomfort, it is generally a normal phenomenon. In order to help the baby to roll over, you can do some touch and massage in the early stage, in order to promote the development of baby’s macromotor movement. If the baby rolls over later, you can do the roll-over training appropriately to prevent delayed gross motor development. For example, the baby will first turn over the position, with the help of external force or induction to assist in turning over. If your baby cannot roll over on his/her own by the age of 6 months, you should consult your pediatrician in time to complete the relevant examinations to rule out the possibility of abnormal gross motor development or cerebral palsy and other disease factors.
