The pain triggered after nasopharyngeal cancer treatment may be due to the side effects produced by radiotherapy such as radioactive pharyngolaryngitis, damage to bone marrow, damage to brain tissue and so on.
1. Radioactive pharyngolaryngitis: radioactive inflammation is formed in the throat after radiotherapy, which leads to thinning of mucous membrane in the throat, pain in the throat, dryness of the throat, shrinkage of the throat, decrease of secretion and other phenomena.
2. Damage to bone marrow: radiotherapy may seriously damage the bone marrow, resulting in the occurrence of weakness, loss of appetite, hair loss, pain and other adverse reactions.
3. Damage to brain tissue: radiotherapy, in addition to treating the lesion, will bring damage to the surrounding tissues at the same time, such as damage to the temporal lobe brain tissue, which can cause cerebral edema, or even cerebral necrosis, which triggers severe headache and requires active treatment.
It is suggested that patients should consult the doctor in time to check the cause of the disease, and actively communicate with the doctor to take appropriate treatment to avoid aggravation of the disease.
