5mm Ground Glass Nodule No Change in 3 Months of Review Should I Treat It?

If the 5mm ground-glass nodule does not change after 3 months of review, no treatment can be given for the time being, and the nodule can be followed up with regular chest CT examinations to see if it has changed.
For lung nodules smaller than 4mm, it is generally necessary to review the chest CT examination once a year to observe whether the nodule has increased in size and whether there are signs of malignant changes. For lung nodules of 4mm~6mm, it is recommended to do lung CT every six months, and if there is no sign of deterioration after two years, then it can be changed to once a year. And for lung nodules of 6mm~8mm, try to review them every 3~6 months.
However, the review time of lung nodules is not judged only by the size of the nodules, but also according to the density and shape of the nodules, as well as the patient’s age and whether he/she is a smoker or not, according to the clinician’s recommendation.
