Blurred eyes with floating dark shadows may be a result of more serious diseases such as intravitreal inflammation, hemorrhage, or retinal detachment. Retinal detachment is a more complex disease and generally includes pore-derived retinal detachment, retinal detachment by retraction, and retinal detachment by plasma. Pore-derived retinal detachment usually occurs in patients with high myopia, who have previous retinal degeneration, such as lattice-like degeneration, where the degenerated retina forms a fissure due to external forces or vitreous traction, after which the fissure gradually expands and eventually the retina detaches in large sheets. Patients will have subjective symptoms of vision loss, black shadow obscuration, black shadow may have a certain floating sensation, hole-derived retinal detachment, often combined with retinal detachment by traction. Plasmacytoid retinal detachment usually has some primary disease, such as retinal vascular disease, and the primary disease is usually treated first.
