Effects of Citrus Aurantium

Hua Tangerine Hong is used to treat wind-cold phlegm, diaphragmatic distension, and poor appetite (poor appetite). Hua Tangerine Hong is a Chinese medicine, the immature outer layer of the rutaceous plant Huazhou Pomelo rind, which is pungent, bitter and warm in nature, with two meridians of the lungs and the spleen. It can dry dampness and resolve phlegm (dispel phlegm by drying dampness), regulate qi, and eliminate food, and is used for wind-cold phlegm, diaphragmatic distension, poor appetite, vomiting, and food stagnation (the accumulation of food in the stomach due to indigestion). Clinically, Hua Tangerine Red is often used in combination with Hanxia and Chuanbei for phlegm asthma; Hua Tangerine Red is also used in combination with Shihshanglian and Qingzhu Biao for bronchitis. Because of its bitter flavor and warm nature, the medication should be noted that it can consume fluid, so it is contraindicated for deficiency of qi and yin, as well as dry cough with little phlegm. Adverse effects of Huaganghong are not yet clear. If you need to use the drug, you need to use it under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, and you should not use the drug on your own to avoid adverse effects on the body.
