There is no external medicine that can treat uterine fibroids. Fibroids are usually treated with hormonal medication and surgery. Chinese herbal medicines are usually taken orally, and topical medications usually do not produce significant results. Surgical treatments include myomectomy and hysterectomy. Other treatment modalities include uterine artery embolization and high-energy focused ultrasound. Indications for uterine fibroid surgery include ineffective medication, anemia, abnormal bleeding, excessive menstruation; infertility and repeated miscarriages due to uterine fibroids, patients with large uterine fibroids that cause compression symptoms, and those who are suspected of malignant changes as a result of continued growth of uterine fibroids after determination, which require surgical treatment. Patients with uterine fibroids should not self-medication, do not blindly use external medicine, to avoid adverse results, in the physician interview under the guidance of standardized treatment.
