What is the function of alanyl glutamine injection?

Alanyl Glutamine Injection is a component of parenteral nutrition. The properties of alanyl glutamine, which is broken down in the body to glutamine and alanine, allow for glutamine supplementation via parenteral nutritional infusion. It is indicated for parenteral nutrition in patients requiring glutamine supplementation, including patients in catabolic and hypermetabolic conditions. Adverse reactions have not been observed when the product is used correctly; when the product is infused too rapidly, chills, nausea, and vomiting will occur, and the drug should be discontinued immediately when this occurs. It is contraindicated in patients with severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance <25ml/min) or severe hepatic insufficiency. It should also be noted that liver function and acid-base balance should also be monitored during the use of this product. Alanyl glutamine injection should be used under medical supervision and should not be used on its own.
