Wearing a condom every time you have sex does not usually cause pregnancy. However, some people may get pregnant if the condom breaks or falls off, so it is important to check that the condom is intact before you have sex, and to check that it is not broken after you have sex. If the condom falls off during sex, it means that the condom has failed and remedial measures are needed. Commonly used remedies are oral emergency contraceptive pills, which are taken orally within 72 hours, and the earlier you take them, the better the effect; if you take them more than 72 hours later, they won’t work.
