Does novel coronavirus infection cause fever at night?

Patients with novel coronavirus infection may or may not have fever at night, and fever at night does not necessarily indicate novel coronavirus infection. The main manifestations of novel coronavirus pneumonia are fever, malaise, dry cough, and, less frequently, high fever, with or without fever. The patient’s disease may progress in about 7-10 days, and in severe cases may progress rapidly to acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, uncorrectable metabolic acidosis, and coagulopathy. Patients with severe critical illness may have moderate to low fever or even no significant fever, and a few critically ill patients may die, but most patients have a good prognosis.
