Houpu and Dabu Pi are two completely different kinds of Chinese medicines, which are different in terms of herbal medicine category, flavor and meridian, efficacy and effects. For example, Hau Pu has the effects of drying dampness, eliminating phlegm, and lowering qi to remove fullness (enabling qi to move downward to alleviate the discomfort of fullness), while Dabu Pi has the effects of moving qi and relaxing the middle, and inducing diuresis to reduce swelling. 1. Flavor and Meridian: Houpu is bitter, pungent and warm in nature, and it belongs to the spleen, stomach, lung and large intestine meridians, while Dabu Pi is pungent and slightly warm in nature, and it belongs to the spleen, stomach, large intestine and small intestine meridians. 3. Role: Both can treat bloating and constipation caused by food stagnation (food that is indigested and stagnates in the stomach), but Houpu is more inclined to drying dampness, treating abdominal distension, vomiting and diarrhea caused by dampness obstructing the spleen and stomach, while Dabu Pi is not only able to regulate qi, but also diuretic to relieve edema and swellings, treating oedema and fullness, and dysuria (unruly urination), and other symptoms. 5. Precautions: thick Park flavor pungent, bitter, warm, can dry dampness, qi deficiency and fluid loss and pregnant women should not be used; abdominal skin pungent dissipation of qi, weak, loose stool (stool thin and unshaped) or urine long and clear people should not be used. In the use of the big belly skin and thick Park, must be selected under the guidance of a doctor, symptomatic medication, not blindly self-medication, in order to avoid adverse reactions.
