Patients with gallbladder polyps should also have a low-fat diet

Patients with gallbladder polyps should choose foods containing less fat in their diet, and their daily fat intake should be strictly limited to less than 40 grams. Foods rich in fat will promote the contraction of the gallbladder, stimulate the gallbladder wall and promote the continued growth of gallbladder polyps. Especially when gallbladder polyps are complicated by cholecystitis, eating large amounts of fat will aggravate the inflammation, the intense gallbladder contraction will trigger gallbladder pain, and the persistence of inflammation will also promote gallbladder polyps, when the fat intake should be limited to less than 20 grams per day. Patients with gallbladder polyps should limit their fat intake, but it does not mean that the less fat-containing food they eat, the better. Eating a certain amount of fat can promote bile excretion and reduce the impact of bile stasis on the gallbladder wall. When choosing foods, the intake of animal fats should be strictly limited, while vegetable fats are helpful for bile excretion and can be used in moderation. The daily intake of fatty foods should be evenly distributed among three meals, avoiding concentrated intake in one meal. At the same time, low cholesterol foods should be maintained, with less than 0.3 grams of cholesterol in food daily, especially for patients with severe hypercholesterolemia or patients with cardiovascular atherosclerosis can. Cholesterol-rich foods include fatty meat, animal offal, fish roe, crab yolk, egg yolk, seafood foods, etc. The amount of these foods should be consumed in the daily diet.
