What happened to the scab inside the ear?

There are several clinical possibilities for crusting inside the ear: the first, recurrent chronic otitis externa leading to repeated irritation of secretions inside the ear canal, with local secretions accumulating together to form crusts. The second is chronic eczema of the ear canal. If the patient repeatedly has chronic eczema of the external ear canal and there are local changes such as exudation, the exudate will form a crust. The third type, some patients who have ear canal cerumen irritation, repeated cerumen crusts accumulate together to form crusts. Fourth, some patients have external auditory canal cholesteatoma, and the crusts of external auditory canal cholesteatoma grow for a long time and block the ear canal to form crusts. All in all, patients with crusts in the ear canal are advised to go to an ENT clinic for an electronic otoscope to examine the condition of the ear canal and the manifestations of the crusts, so as to distinguish which kind of disease is involved, and to deal with it. If necessary, the crusts can also be removed clinically and the nature of the crusts can be determined.
