(1) Routine stool examination. Ascaris lumbricoides can parasitize the intestinal tract. Stool examination can detect the presence of Ascaris lumbricoides eggs in the feces, which is used to diagnose the presence of Ascaris lumbricoides infection.
(2) Vomit examination. Eggs of Ascaris lumbricoides may also be found in the vomit of some patients.
(3) Enteroscopy. Enteroscopy can detect the presence of roundworms in the intestines to confirm the diagnosis.
