Wisdom teeth are more complicated to remove because of the lack of eruption gap, the change in the position of the wisdom teeth, and the coverage of the jawbone, alveolar bone, and mucosa around the wisdom teeth. At the same time, the trauma of the surgery and local infection can cause a variety of complications and also cause fear in patients. How to reduce the patient’s pain and shorten the operation time is a problem I have been focusing on for a long time, and often patients ask me after wisdom tooth extraction, “Why doesn’t it hurt?” A few days later the patient came to remove the stitches and said that there was not much pain and his face was not swollen, at which time I was as happy as the patient. In my clinical work, I collected specimens and dental films of thousands of wisdom teeth extracted by me in recent years, and on this basis, I summarized the minimally invasive way of wisdom tooth extraction, which has achieved good clinical results. Minimally invasive wisdom tooth extraction includes surgical design and surgical method as well as perioperative treatment. The analysis of wisdom tooth resistance points is performed before surgery according to the location of wisdom teeth, and the best removal method is designed. A good design is a guarantee of success. Based on the location of the wisdom tooth, the timing of the surgery can be judged so that the patient is well prepared mentally. The oral cavity is an area where many kinds of bacteria are present. Disinfection before surgery and sterilization of surgical instruments are important aspects, and we use a wisdom tooth extraction kit for each patient to minimize the incidence of infection. It is important to overcome the resistance around the wisdom tooth, cleverly splitting the crown, using fulcrums, maximizing the protection of the tissue around the wisdom tooth, properly protecting the wound and stopping bleeding, and caring for the patient to minimize trauma.
