Can a splint fix a broken calf?

After a fracture of the lower leg, there are many ways to fix it. If the condition is mild, there is no obvious displacement, and there is obvious muscle coverage around the fracture location, there are conditions for conservative treatment with external splinting. However, splint external fixation should pay attention to two points: first, regular review, and second, minimize the activities during fixation. Calf fracture is more traumatic, even if the bone is not displaced after the fracture, however, because it is a weight-bearing bone, if the patient is not careful, continued weight-bearing or excessive activity may lead to displacement of the fracture, which in turn may lead to poor treatment results or deformed healing.
