Can you get a veneer if you only have the root of the tooth left?

If only the root of the tooth is left, it can be veneered, but different veneering methods need to be adopted according to the root of the tooth.
1. Remaining root can be retained: generally the length of the remaining root is more than twice the length of the crown, and the apical inflammation can be controlled, the remaining root can be retained by perfecting the root canal treatment, and then playing fiber piles in the root canal, and using resin to build up the shape of the tooth, or making personalized piles, and then finally preparing the abutment tooth to take a mold to make a ceramic tooth so as to complete the veneer.
2. Remaining roots cannot be preserved: If the remaining root is not long enough, or the apical inflammation is too large or even involves the root bifurcation, you need to consider extracting the root and then grinding down two adjacent teeth after 3 months to set porcelain crowns and bridges for restoration; or extracting the root after about 3 to 6 months, and then take CT to check the alveolar bone condition, and then do dental implant restoration.
