Diatriacal insufficiency, can it cause a slow heart rate?

Mild diatriacal insufficiency does not usually affect the heart rate, whereas in the case of severe diatriacal insufficiency, it may lead to a fast heart rate; the usual causes of a slow heart rate are mainly related to sinus node or atrioventricular node dysfunction, or medications. Severe mitral tricuspid insufficiency may lead to a decrease in per-beat output, and in order to ensure blood supply to the body, the heart will compensate for the increase in beat rate, so it will lead to an increase in heart rate. Some elderly people may have a slowed heart rate due to myocardial ischemia or infarction, surgical trauma, endocrine abnormalities, or the use of medications such as metoprolol. Normally, mitral tricuspid valve insufficiency does not affect the heart rate, but if severe insufficiency occurs, prompt medical attention is needed.
