What is the normal range of height for a three year old

Height is an important indicator of children’s growth and development. There is some individual variability in height due to both congenital and acquired influences. The height standards for three-year-old boys and girls are slightly different, with the average height of boys and girls being 96.8 and 95.6 centimeters respectively

1. The average height of three-year-old boys is 96.8 centimeters, 100.70 centimeters at the upper middle level, 104.60 centimeters at the upper level, and 93 centimeters if they are on the shorter side. If their height is below 89.3 centimeters, they are suspected to be behind in their growth and development.

2. The average height of a girl is 95.6 centimeters, 99.40 centimeters at the upper intermediate level, 103.40 centimeters at the superior level, and 99.2 centimeters if she is on the shorter side. If her height is below 88.02 centimeters, it is suspected that she is behind in her growth and development.

The child must have a good height and weight growth curve from birth onwards, monitor the height and actively search for the cause once the height is found to deviate from its inherent growth curve. Children whose height is significantly lower than that of their peers should be advised to seek medical attention as soon as possible to identify the cause and intervene as early as possible.
