How to treat a rectal neuroendocrine tumor 10 cm from the anus

Rectal neuroendocrine tumors 10cm from the anus can usually be treated with endoscopic resection, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Endoscopic resection is preferred for rectal neuroendocrine tumors 10cm from the anus, and commonly used endoscopic resection modalities include ESD (endoscopic submucosal dissection) and EMR (endoscopic mucosal resection), with a complete surgical resection rate of more than 85%.
If the tumor is staged early and highly differentiated, no radiotherapy or chemotherapy is needed; if the tumor is staged late and poorly differentiated, adjuvant radiotherapy or chemotherapy is needed.
After resection of rectal neuroendocrine tumor, it is rechecked every 1~2 years, and the main examination items are pelvic CT, MRI and enteroscopy. Patients with rectal neuroendocrine tumor should usually avoid spicy and irritating foods, such as garlic, ginger and chili peppers.
When the rectal neuroendocrine tumor 10cm from the anus is detected, it should be given treatment as early as possible and actively to reduce the harm caused by the disease.
