Meniscus injury can be categorized into three levels, Grade 1 and Grade 2 injuries can be relieved by playing sodium vitrate, and Grade 3 injuries need surgical treatment such as meniscoplasty. 1. Grade 1: refers to slight damage to the meniscus, with a small amount of bleeding, mainly manifested as obvious pain in the joints, rapid redness and swelling accompanied by difficulty in extension and flexion, and so on. 2.Grade 2: It refers to large damage to the meniscus and increased bleeding, but the damage is still on the edge of the meniscus, manifested by joint pain, aggravated by flexion and extension, accompanied by weakness and weakness of the legs. 3. Grade III: The meniscus is severely damaged with obvious bleeding, the damage involves the central part of the meniscus, and the typical manifestations are obvious pressure and pain in the joint space, muscle atrophy, and so on. The central part of the meniscus has no blood supply, and its nutrition mainly comes from synovial fluid. Only the marginal part, which is connected with the rim of the cavity, can get blood supply from the synovium. Therefore, the use of sodium vitrate for tears in the marginal part can effectively relieve the symptoms, while the use of sodium vitrate for other tears is not very effective. Sodium vitrate should be used under doctor’s supervision, not self-medication.
