What’s with the spleen pain?

The spleen is located in the upper left part of the abdominal cavity. Splenic pain may be caused by splenic rupture, or it may be due to cirrhosis of the liver or kidney stones. 1. Splenic rupture: Splenic rupture is usually caused by impact on the spleen, excessive stretching of the splenocolic ligament during gastric surgery, and other factors. When the amount of bleeding is small, the patient will have slight pain in the left upper abdomen. When the amount of bleeding is large and the blood flow rate is fast, the patient will have symptoms such as pale skin color, cold limbs, impaired consciousness and severe pain. 2. Cirrhosis: Cirrhosis is mostly caused by long-term biliary stasis, drug stimulation, liver blood circulation obstacles and other factors. Early stage of cirrhosis usually has no obvious symptoms, but in the late stage, patients will have symptoms such as enlarged spleen, ascites, circulatory disorders, and accompanied by abdominal pain, diarrhea, weight loss and fever. 3. Kidney stones: Metabolic abnormalities, insufficient water intake, urinary tract infection and other reasons can cause kidney stones. Patients mostly show pain in the lower back, mostly hidden pain or dull pain, which can radiate to the affected side of the abdomen, bladder, testicles and other parts of the body. There are many causes of splenic pain, the specific causes need to go to the hospital to determine the examination, after diagnosis under the guidance of the doctor for treatment.
