If children are infected with EBV, the following symptoms will be manifested: firstly, fever will be manifested, because EBV will cause systemic inflammatory reaction in children, which will lead to the increase of inflammatory cells in the body and cause fever. Secondly, it can cause lymph node enlargement in children, which is mainly in the neck, and several enlarged lymph nodes can be touched in the neck of children. Lastly, it can cause sore throat, tonsil suppuration and other signs of sore throat that are very obvious. In addition, there may be enlargement of the liver and spleen, as well as abnormalities in liver function. In this case, children should be tested for IgM antibodies to EBV to assist in the diagnosis.
