Lamellar hypodense shadow is an imaging finding in which a lamellar hypodense shadow seen in the posterior aspect of the body of the stomach suggests that a parenchymal tumor may be present in the posterior aspect of the body of the stomach, and that further testing is needed to make a definitive diagnosis. Lamellar hypodense shadow is seen in the posterior aspect of the body of the stomach, in which the hypodense shadow indicates a liquid or hypodense tumor. However, it is difficult to directly determine what kind of disease it is based on this one imaging result alone, and further examination, such as puncture or surgical resection, is needed to take localized cells for pathological examination to clarify the diagnosis. If the pathological result is benign, according to the size of the tumor, physical therapy such as laser, freezing or surgical resection treatment will be given, and the recovery is usually faster; if the pathological result is malignant, chemotherapy or radiotherapy should be chosen as the way to intervene, and surgical resection treatment will be carried out if necessary. It is recommended that patients should go to the hospital in time after the appearance of flaky low-density shadow at the back of the gastric body, so as to clarify the cause of the disease under the guidance of professional physicians, in order to avoid delaying the condition.
