Early symptoms of cardiogenic edema

Cardiogenic edema refers to the edema that occurs when heart failure occurs due to various causes of heart disease, and can be generalized or limited. Early symptoms are usually not very obvious, and can be manifested as symptoms of pulmonary stasis due to left heart insufficiency and symptoms of body circulation stasis due to right heart insufficiency. 1. Symptoms of pulmonary stasis due to left heart insufficiency: patients often have dyspnea under exertion, nocturnal paroxysmal dyspnea or dry cough after lying down, resting dyspnea or sedentary respiration, and so on. 2. Symptoms of body circulation stasis caused by right heart insufficiency: patients often have gastrointestinal symptoms such as edema, abdominal distension, and poor appetite. The presence of any of the above symptoms suggests volume overload, while the absence of bruising symptoms suggests normal volume status. If accompanied by poor skin elasticity, dryness and sunken eye sockets, it suggests volume insufficiency. It is recommended that the patient should go to a regular hospital for diagnosis and active treatment with CT, ECG, BNP and other tests.
