Gui Zhi Ren Shen Tang is mainly used for the treatment of deficiency cold of the spleen and stomach (spleen and stomach weak and cold) and recurrence of wind-cold episodes, in which the patient will have symptoms such as malignant cold (fear of cold), fever, abdominal pain, and lack of thirst in the mouth. Gui Zhi Ginseng Tang is a formula composed of dried ginger, ginseng, atractylodes, licorice and gui zhi, which is taken with water and has the efficacy of relieving exterior cold, warming yang and strengthening the spleen, and is mainly used for the treatment of patients with deficiency and cold of spleen and stomach and recurrent wind-cold epiphenomenon, with the common clinical symptoms of malignant cold and fever, head and body pain, loose stools (i.e., diarrhea), abdominal pain, lack of thirst, floating and weak pulse, and white slippery tongue with pale moss. The adverse effects and contraindications of this formula are not clear, it is recommended that patients who are unwell go to regular hospitals for timely consultation, and follow the doctor’s instructions for symptomatic treatment.
