Symptoms of endometrial polyps

  Endometrial polyp is a common gynecological disease, the prevalence of which has increased among women of childbearing age, and the prevalence of endometrial polyp in infertile women is about 32%. Endometrial polyp can be single or multiple, 1/3 patients have no symptoms, only found during physical examination, those with symptoms mainly in the following areas: 1, irregular vaginal bleeding: manifested as intermenstrual bleeding, excessive menstrual flow or irregular bleeding.  2, infertility: endometrial polyps can occupy the uterine cavity, for the uterus, polyps are foreign bodies, which can affect the contraction of the uterus; abnormal uterine bleeding can affect the implantation and development of fertilized eggs; polyps located in front of the cervical canal and fallopian tube mouth can affect the passage of sperm, as they affect the upward movement of sperm, resulting in the inability of sperm to meet the egg in the fallopian tube to form a fertilized egg, which in turn leads to infertility; endometrial polyps lack progesterone receptors. The endometrial polyp lacks progesterone receptors, which prevents the endometrium from transforming into a state suitable for the fertilized egg to be laid, thus leading to infertility.  3.Cancer: Asymptomatic endometrial polyps with a diameter of <1cm have a low cancer rate, but large polyps and high blood pressure are high-risk factors for cancer. The cancer rate will become higher as the age increases. In addition, some patients with endometrial cancer are caused by endometrial polyps.  In conclusion, the symptoms of endometrial polyps are mainly irregular vaginal bleeding, infertility, and even cancer.
